Venue and Travel

Centrally located and easy to reach: The Essen exhibition center is conveniently located in the Ruhr metropolitan region. The very well developed transport network ensures a relaxed journey from all directions. You can reach the trade fair center by your own car, by local and long-distance public transport or by plane via Düsseldorf Airport.

Public Transport

From Essen Central Station, you can reach us in just 5 minutes by taking the U 11 subway line to the "Messe Ost / Gruga-Halle" stop at the east entrance to the fair or one stop further, to "Messe West-Süd / Gruga" at the west entrance to the fair.

Car

For guests with cars, MESSE ESSEN offers about 7,000 parking spaces close to the fair - and additionally 7,000 parking possibilities in the P+R system with free use of the fair bus.

Rail

DB: From Düsseldorf Airport station, three ICE lines (40/45, 10 and 41), three Regionalexpress trains (RE1, 6 and 11) and S-Bahn line 1 will take you to Essen Central Station in about 30 minutes. From here, follow the local transport instructions on the left.



Air

The excellent connection to Düsseldorf Airport allows for a quick and convenient journey, even from afar. With over 500 takeoffs and landings daily, it offers flight connections to over 170 cities in Germany and abroad. Düsseldorf Airport is only 20 minutes by car from the Essen trade fair grounds and also has excellent rail connections.
 

Parking Spaces and Park & Ride

Parking spaces directly at the trade fair:

The signposting to the trade fair will guide you straightforwardly to the site, where you will find sufficient parking spaces from which MESSE ESSEN is easily accessible on foot. The parking fee for the parking spaces close to the fair is 15€/day.

Park & Ride large-area parking lot P10 incl. bus shuttle:

The P & R parking lot P10 is located on Lilienthalstraße and can be reached from the A52 via the Essen-Kettwig exit.

Shuttle buses run regularly from there to the fairgrounds. The parking lots are open until 60 minutes after the end of the trade fair or show.

Special Parking

Parking for people with disabilities:

Visitors with a disability degree of 80% or higher and the disability codes aG or G on their official German disability ID card may park free of charge. You can have your parking ticket validated at the information desks, or, if the barriers were open when you entered, you can obtain a ticket for a free exit there. To do so, you only need to present your disability ID card and acknowledge receipt of the discount or exit ticket.
