PARELLI live - Horsemanship meets Classical Riding / Premiere at EQUITANA 2013
Pat Parelli comes to EQUITANA 2013
Pat and Linda Parelli meet Christoph Hess and Uta Gräf
Unique show evening at EQUITANA 2013
Even for Parelli, the grand old man of Natural Horsemanship, this is bound to be a very special premiere: at EQUITANA 2013 the celebrated horseman will meet Christoph Hess, the training ambassador of Deutsche Reiterliche Vereinigung (FN). The motto of the unique evening show at EQUITANA on 21 March will be "Horsemanship meets Classical Riding".
The two-hour show in the Main EQUITANA Arena promises to be an exciting exchange between high-calibre experts, a meeting of the top figures of Horsemanship and classical dressage training. Linda and Pat Parelli will be assisted by their instructors, Christoph Hess will bring Grand Prix champion Uta Gräf with him to Essen.
„Happy, healthy dressage horse"
Respect, trust and communication - these are the foundations of Parelli Natural Horsemanship (PNH) which enjoys worldwide recognition as a training method today. The same requirements also apply in good dressage riding, however. Christoph Hess, Uta Gräf and Linda Parelli will demonstrate how close classical training and Natural Horsemanship really are and how they even constructively complement each other. Pat Parelli himself will point out the way to a "happy, healthy dressage horse" by explaining the personalities and language of horses.
Parelli and Hess exchange experiences
In their exclusive clinic, Parelli and Hess will present the common ground between their training methods and exchange their knowledge and experiences. They will provide insights into their working methods and show by way of practical examples how to train a happy, motivated horse that will be a joy to ride for both recreational and competition riders. For the spectators, this means they will get plenty of tips and ideas for their own work with horses.
Pat Parelli Linda Parelli & Christoph Hess Uta Gräf
Parelli Natural Horsemanship (PNH) is one of the best known and most successful training concepts of its kind, a basic training which every rider can build on according to his individual needs. In accordance with the principles of his "Horsenality Charts" - assessing the horse's personality traits - Parelli begins to build the horse's potential, taking it through several levels. The first four levels (Online, Freestyle, Liberty and Finesse) form the basis of his training method.
With his practical demonstrations, Christoph Hess, who has been senior training specialist with FN for many years, has been one of the most popular trainers on the EQUITANA programme. Another great success was the FN training initiative "Besser reiten! (Better riding!)". In this series of seminars and demonstrations Christoph Hess offered riders practical examples of problem solving and strategies for correct, classical riding. Today, Christoph Hess, who runs courses for judges and trainers in Germany and abroad, is head of the Personal Members segment of FN and FN training ambassador.
Like no other rider, Uta Gräf, who will assist Christoph Hess, stands for a changing attitude towards horses and dressage which she also describes in her new book called "Feines Reiten auf motivierten Pferden (Fine Riding on Motivated Horses)". For many years, she has been combining demanding and successful dressage riding and species-appropriate horse keeping in herds and open stables. Uta Gräf has been a member of the dressage riders B team since 2011.
The presentation at EQUITANA will be the only opportunity to see Pat and Linda Parelli live in Germany that has been scheduled for 2013 so far. After the success of the sold-out Pat Parelli Show at EQUITANA two years ago, demand for tickets for "Horsemanship meets Classical Riding" is bound to be high.
