Messe Essen is ready and waiting for EQUITANA 2021
EQUITANA Messe Essen
One of the most common questions at our last EQUITANA must have been, “How do I get to the halls on the upper floor?” The steep climb and long escalators have now disappeared and the 18 very differently designed units have been replaced with eight extensive halls, all on the same level. This should make it far easier for visitors to find their way around the exhibition and opens up a whole host of new stand design options for exhibitors in the future. “The logistics for both horses and large technical equipment has been simplified considerably, so that we have far more space to work with and can spotlight the innovations and many facets of equestrian sport far better now”, says EQUITANA boss, Christina Uetz. After a three-and-a-half-year rebuilding programme, the entire area of 110,000 sq m will finally be available again the next time the world’s leading equestrian exhibition takes place. “I am very glad to be able to say that, once again, we will be able to fulfil all of our exhibitors’, organizers’ and visitors’ expectations in a thoroughly up-to-date exhibition centre,” said Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen, on the occasion of the building work being completed. He expressly thanked clients and neighbours for their trust and patience during the rebuilding phase. Hall 5 was the final building to be completed and, together with Hall 6, it replaces the previous upper floor areas. Visitors to EQUITANA 2021 will find the Western World there and, for the first time, two rings dedicated to presenting breeds and riding demonstrations as part of the daytime programme.
