Training tips from the European Champions

German riders have once again enjoyed a glut of dressage, show-jumping and eventing titles this year, with the leading lights also regularly sharing their expertise with other riders at EQUITANA.

Leaving a veritable golden trail behind her in Rotterdam, Isabell Werth won no less than three titles at the European Dressage Championships in the Netherlands. On Bella Rose she won team gold and also the individual competitions as well. Isabell shared her knowledge with a class of young riders at EQUITANA in March. You can gain an idea of the event from this video

Together with her brother Benjamin, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl also provided insights into her everyday training routineat one of EQUITANA’s coaching evenings.

Jessica won the team title with Dalera BB and piaffed her way to bronze in the individual freestyle. Team colleague Dorothee Schneider also gained silver in the Grand Prix and freestyle alongside her team gold. Doro was also very much in demand as a coach at EQUITANA.

World Champion Simone Blum jumped to silver in Rotterdam with Alice and was also one of the top coaches appearing in Essen: video of life coaching

Not to be outdone, Ingrid Klimke picked up two titles, triumphing in Luhmühlen with the rest of the team, even defending her individual title successfully as well. Ingrid gave some promising young riders the benefit of her experience in gymnasticising horses experience in gymnastic work this year. She already delighted EQUITANA audiences in Essen in 2017 with her highly memorable coaching evening "Ingrid Klimke live".
