Saturday, 14th March, 2009, Children’s Day
- Opening ceremony: The official opening ceremony of the 20th edition of the world's largest equestrian fair EQUITANA.
- Federal stallion parade of IG Fjord
- FN National Fjord Stallion Show at the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Fjord Horse Community
On the first Saturday of EQUITANA 2009 more than 40 licensed Fjord stallions from all over Germany will be presented to the critical look of an international judiciary during a national stallion show of the German Equestrian Federation. For the awarding of the title of the German Equestrian Federation the exterieur assessment as well as the results of the performance tests will be decisive.

Sunday, 15th March, 2009, Breeding Day
- Dressage lesson with Isabell Werth: Watch the Olympic Team Champion and winner of the individual silver medal of 2008 together with her famous dressage trainer Wolfram Wittig in a first-class training demonstration!
- Vaulting Master Class: For the first time professional vaulters like Kai Vorberg and successful German teams will compete together and fight for victory within a team at the first EQUITANA Vaulting Master Class.

Monday, 16th March, 2009, Training Day
- FN training program
- Xenophon workshop
- Show jumping clinic with Heinrich Hermann Engemann. In a show jumping lesson the discipline trainer and assistant coach of the Olympic show jumping team gives expert training tips in the main arena of hall 6 from 1 p.m.
- Stübben dressage workshop with Rudolf Zeilinger: At 4 p.m. the student of the legendary Willi Schultheis will pass tips and guidelines.
- Special program from 6 p.m.: An afternoon together with Honza Blaha
The Czech Honza Blaha has been the new star of horsemanship. EQUITANA will present the most popular man of the scene within an exclusive special program. Watch Honza Blaha with his fascinating studies.

- Kühnle Carriage Children Cup: Children of famous carriage drivers will drive their team precisely through the pins.
Wednesday, 18th March, 2009, Draught Horse & Thoroughbred Day
- Presentation of Xenophon riding methods
- Proper fall-off the horse - presented by USG
- USG presents: Indoor eventing lesson with Ingrid Klimke, 12.30-13.00, großer Rring Hall 6
- USG Indoor Eventing: During a show competition top-class event riders will compete with speed and jumping ability across mobile natural fences, 13.00-14.00, großer Ring Hall 6

EQUITANA Reining-Clinic with the German National Coach Kay Wienrich, 12.00-12.45 p. m., Arena Hall 6
Since 2005, Kay Wienrich is training the German Reining Team as the national coach. In 2006, the team achieved the 4th place at the world Equestrian Games in Aachen and in 2007, the team could win the European Championships in Mooslargue/ France under his lead. - PEGASUS Baroque Horse Cup:
Whether Andalusian horse, Frisian horse, Lippizaner, Lusitano or other baroque horse breeds - rarely you will have the chance to meet them all together in sports competitions. At EQUITANA they will present themselves with a Grand Prix dressage freestyle. [PDF | 32 KB]
